Membership Types and Eligibility

THEBO offers membership options for both institutions and vendors, creating a well-rounded community that supports collaboration across the higher education landscape.

Colleges and universities of all sizes

Community colleges and multi-campus institutions

Vendors and commercial partners supporting higher education

Membership is structured so that institutions with multiple campuses are only assessed one membership fee, allowing organizations to participate without additional financial burden.

This approach ensures accessibility while encouraging participation from a wide range of institutions across Texas.

Annual Membership Dues

Membership fees are based on institution size and type, with pricing designed to remain accessible while supporting the organization’s initiatives.

Institutions over 10,000 students: $250 annually

Institutions under 10,000 students: $200 annually

Vendors: $250 annually

Membership operates on THEBO’s fiscal year, which runs from March through February. It is important to note that membership dues do not include conference registration fees.

Each member is responsible for maintaining their membership in good standing by paying dues within the required timeframe.

Membership Policies and Participation

THEBO membership is governed by policies that ensure fairness and consistency for all participants. Membership dues and fees are reviewed and approved through a voting process during the annual business meeting.

Members who do not maintain their dues within 30 days of the due date may lose good standing and voting privileges within the organization.

Regardless of multiple campus locations, each University, College or Community college shall be assessed dues only once (e.g., if dues are $250.00 per member and a Community College has two separate campus locations, then it will pay only $250.00 and not $500.00).

Membership fees do not include conference fees.

These guidelines help maintain the integrity of the organization while ensuring that all members have equal opportunities to participate and contribute.

Easy Registration and Payment Options

Joining THEBO or renewing membership is designed to be a simple process. Institutions and vendors can complete registration and pay annual dues through an online payment portal.

The system allows for:

Credit card payments

Purchase order submissions

New member registration

Annual membership renewals

This streamlined process makes it easy for organizations to join and continue benefiting from membership without unnecessary delays.
